Welcome to the World of Shadow Sculptures

Meet Maysoon Masalha and Bassam Al-Selawi, visionary Jordanian artists reshaping the art scene with their groundbreaking shadow sculptures. Combining modern techniques with Arabic calligraphy, their creations come alive when touched by light, revealing a hidden dimension.

Journey to Innovation
Both hailing from Jordan, Maysoon and Bassam’s artistic journey began with studying Fine Art in their homeland. Teaching art to Palestinian refugee children fueled their creativity, leading them to innovate with limited resources.

Art in Education

Maysoon, a former teacher at United Nations Schools for Palestinian Refugees, discovered the profound impact of art on students and communities. As an art supervisor at the UN Education Development Center and Manager of Art Craft at Art Hub, she continues to inspire artistic talents.

Empowering Through Art

Believing in art as a powerful form of self-expression, Bassam, Manager of Applied Art at Art Hub, shares his experiences to make the world a better place through creativity. He oversees design and installation of art commissions, creating both decorative and functional pieces.
